Water Resources Specialist
About the Position
The Water Resources Specialist will provide ongoing evaluation of data collection, data analysis, reporting and processes for continuous improvement to water resource monitoring efforts. This position will act as the primary contact for initiatives related to NPDES, Total Maximum Daily Load/Watershed Restoration and Protection studies, and serve as the liaison with federal and state agencies associated with these efforts.
This individual is responsible for project and contract administration, data organization, data analysis and reporting related to watershed assessment and monitoring data collection. Will assist with field work for monitoring, and with installation, operation and maintenance a variety of manual and automatic water monitoring and sampling equipment throughout the watershed.
The position actively participates as a member of the MWMO staff team and performs special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
About the Candidate
The successful candidate for the position possesses a bachelor’s degree in the field of Biology, Chemistry, Limnology, Water Resources, Natural Resources, Engineering, Earth Science, Environmental Science or a related field, and a minimum of five (5) years professional experience, or a master’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience.

The salary range for the position is $47,400–$72,800, depending on experience and qualifications, with a competitive benefits package.
