We are recruiting a full-time position based remotely (40 hours/week). The Program and Operations Manager will report to Aquaya’s Project Director, REAL-Water. Aquaya was recently awarded a five-year cooperative agreement by USAID and serves as the prime awardee, leading a consortium of six partner organizations. This position will primarily work on this project as well as Aquaya’s other U.S. Federal awards and subawards. The Program and Operations Manager will provide a crucial link between the technical and logistical functions within the project to ensure that Uniform Guidance, as well as internal and project rules and policies are followed in all aspects of program implementation.
Role and Responsibilities
• Support Director and Deputy Director with overall management and meeting coordination.
• Review workplan progress against weekly activity reports and monthly check-ins (using Monday.com to monitor deliverables and key milestones).
• Ensure the management team sticks to timelines for review of partner outputs.
• Liaise with USAID: Send weekly updates, provide updates and prepare slides for monthly AOR meetings.
• Oversee mission concurrence compliance.
• Support travel approvals for Aquaya staff and staffing approvals for partner organizations.
• Support the review of workplans and provide feedback as necessary.
• Review partner budgets against workplans and provide feedback as necessary.
• Provide inputs to project reporting requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of current U.S. Federal guidance and issues related to non-profit organizations.
• Ensures high quality and efficient service to the project program staff director(s).
• Adheres to Aquaya policies and procedures.
• Resolve external issues/problems related to grants administration in a timely manner.
