Are you a natural leader and communicator with a passion for the water environment? Come and join our friendly team at the South East Rivers Trust (SERT) working to achieve healthy river ecosystems for all across the South East of England.
SERT is looking for an enthusiastic and organised communicator to bring stakeholders and the community together to work on improving the health of the water environment in the river Mole catchment, and to manage the ambitious ‘Caring for Crawley’s Rivers’ project in the upper catchment.
The role is at the heart of achieving our vision by bringing together stakeholders and members of the community to take a catchment based approach in understanding their local river. We identify issues that are impacting rivers and catchments, and work together to find and implement solutions that will improve the health of the water environment. You will coordinate the Mole Catchment Partnership and manage a large restoration project, whilst also developing future projects in the catchment. The role will also support the wider SERT Team, to implement nature-based solutions to tackle the issues in the river catchment.
The South East Rivers Trust is a member of the national Rivers Trust, a movement which is comprised of over 60 local trusts, who concentrate their efforts on practical environmental enhancement works on the ground. The Trust’s core values are central to all we strive to achieve, including bringing positive energy, expertise and specialist knowledge to develop good relationships and to deliver to a high standard making a real difference to rivers and their catchment areas.
