The Opportunity

The Faculty of Engineering and the Department of Civil Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor to contribute to education and research in environmental remote sensing and/or modelling, with a focus on areas including, but not limited to, flooding, droughts and ecohydrology. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching effort of the Department of Civil Engineering including but not limited to core water units, and carry out activities to maintain and develop scholarly research and professional activities within the discipline.

To maximize our impact, we seek to broaden our portfolio to ensure our academic, interdisciplinary strength in addressing environmental and water sustainability related challenges. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with relevant industry and/or disciplinary experience in environmental remote sensing and/or analytics. With the ability to collaborate effectively and to motivate and inspire learners, you will become a valued academic staff member, where you will support our undergraduate and postgraduate taught program’s teaching and learning.

As the successful candidate you will hold a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline area. 

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
