Universita' di Bologna

Italy 🇮🇹

OFFER DESCRIPTION

The project aims to integrate hydraulic, chemical and microbiological knowledge in an integrated vision of the management of water distribution networks to ensure citizens have adequate and drinkable water. The objectives of the research project start from the revision of Directive 98/83 / EC and from the perception of the good taste of drinking water at the tap by citizens. The analysis and modeling tools used will be in an open source environment, in particular QGis for territorial analysis and EPANET 2.2 Toolkit and EPANET – MSX (Multi-Species eXtension) for hydraulic modeling and water quality parameters.
The activities will be carried out in close collaboration with the tutor and with the other members of the research group, interacting with the water utility for the validation of the methodology.
