Algeria, Iran, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Syria, and Tunisia nationals: MENA Scholarship Programme (MSP)

Round 3 MSP is open from 31 August until 11 October 2022 and concerns all short courses with a start date between 20 February and 26 July 2023.

How to apply

Step 1: check if you are eligible

Before you apply, make sure you review the eligibility criteria carefully (eligibility criteria MSP), whether MSP scholarships are availble for IHE Delft short courses  in your country (see below) and check whether your employer is willing to nominate you for the scholarship. When you are certain that you are eligible for an MSP scholarship, you can start making the necessary preparations for your application.

Eligible countries for MSP scholarships (for water related short courses by IHE Delft) are: Algeria, Iran, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Syria(1), and Tunisia. 

1) MSP is not currently open to applicants applying from Syria. Applicants with the Syrian nationality may apply if they are residing and working in one of the other MSP countries on the list.

Step 2: apply for admission to an IHE Delft Short Course

You should have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study, preferably some years of working experience and a good command of the English language. Some courses have specific requirements. 

You will need to have academic admission at IHE Delft before you can apply for a scholarship. Apply for admission by 25 September 2022 the latest. In the meantime start to prepare the documents that need to be submitted to MSP (see below). 

Apply to one of the eligible short courses, by following the application link on the webpage of the short course you wish to enroll in. IHE Delft aims to notify you about the outcome of your application within two weeks. If your application is accepted by IHE Delft you will be notified per email and you can proceed with step 3, application for a MSP scholarship. 

Step 3: apply for MSP with Delta application tool

You can apply for an MSP scholarship through Delta, the online application tool for MSP scholarships during the scholarship application period from 31 August until 11 October 2022.

Please take note of the following:

  • You first need to have academically acceptance to IHE Delft’s Short Courses (see Step 2).
  • It will not be necessary to upload an admission letter in Delta
  • You are allowed to apply for only one MSP (or OKP) scholarship by this deadline
  • You will need to prepare and collect all the necessary documents in advance, this may take some time.

Incomplete applications in Delta will not be accepted, so please pay good attention to the documents you will need to prepare.

Outcome of selection

The scholarships are awarded in a competitive selection to highly motivated professionals who are in a position to introduce the newly-acquired skills and knowledge into their employing organization.

MSP is initiated and fully funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Nuffic, the organisation for internationalisation in education in the Netherlands.
