About the Role
The Manager Surface Water is accountable for strategic leadership and day to day management of a team of scientific and technical staff that provides expert hydrological advice to inform water resource policy development and water resource management with hydrological investigations and modelling.
The Manager is responsible for coordinating project resources; staff management; and negotiating and liaising with key stakeholders. This includes the establishment of strategic relationships, business plans and work priorities for the Surface Water team. The Manager is a key member of the Water Science and Monitoring Branch leadership team.
May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.
Tertiary or post-graduate qualification in the Science or NRM disciplines is essential.
Full-time (37.5 hours per week) for 12 months.
$102,496 - $111,705 per annum (PO4), adjusted according to hours worked.
