Invitation to tender: Framework Service Agreement (Finance Specialist, Africa Regional Centre)
The SIWI Africa Regional Centre (ARC) works to support all aspects of SIWI’s operations and presence in Africa. This includes promoting the development of programmes and partnerships linked to water governance and transboundary water management; as well as extending the visibility of the World Water Week and the associated prizes. The prime focus of the ARC for 2019-20 is on two mutually reinforcing areas: Attracting investment finance into the regional water sector in Africa and Strengthening national IWRM governance frameworks. Two initiatives in the ARC currently support the former area: The EU-funded Africa-EU Water Partnership Project (AEWPP) and the Transforming Investments in Africa’s Rainfed Agriculture (TIARA) have been delivering on the focus area of attracting investment finance. The ARC will continue efforts to work in the space of water infrastructure finance, and thus seek the services of a finance specialist to support this kind of work. The financial specialist will also support the ARC and partner governments in strengthening and expanding the capacity in Public-Private-Procurement (PPP) in the water infrastructure space.
