Global Environmental Sustainability Specialist – Your future position?

The location of this role can be one of the following: Vernier (Switzerland), Kemptthal (Switzerland), Argenteuil (France), Avignon (France), Dortmund (Germany), Ashford (United Kingdom), Budapest (Hungary), Sant Celoni (Spain)

You will sit in the Global Sustainability Department of Givaudan under the guidance of the Global Head of Environmental Sustainability (ES) and works in close collaboration with the entire ES Team. The ES programs are focusing on Climate Action, Water Stewardship and Waste Management in our Operations and in our value chain.

Your main responsibilities will be: Internal Environmental Sustainability Reporting, External ESG Reporting and Communications, Environmental Sustainability Strategy and Programs.

You will report to the Global Head of Environmental Sustainability.

You will:

  • Coordinate the environmental sustainability (ES) data reporting KPI definition (GHG emissions – scope 1, 2 and 3, water, waste), and work with the relevant partners to ensure data integrity, consistency and coordinated reporting
  • Be the single contact (SPOC) with the Givaudan Business Solutions (GBS) Team responsible for the ES reporting process
  • Improve the data reporting, data collection and data consolidation processes, according to the GRI standards and GHG Protocol, and based on collection and analysis of factual data, external bench-marking, and best practices research
  • Support regions and sites during their Sustainability journey (training, internal and external audits, sustainability assurance process, target setting, communication)
  • Perform analysis of relevant datasets for trends detection
  • Coordinate the CDP Climate & Water disclosure
  • Contribute to the annual reporting suite: Integrated Annual report and GRI report
  • Be key contact at corporate level to solve questions and provide evidence in the area of environmental sustainability, in collaboration with the other ES Team members
  • Prepare, contribute to and validate environmental sustainability communications
  • Support strategy and participate in programs roll-out such as the Sustainability digital roadmap, net-zero targets and plan, GHG emissions removal measurements and other strategic ad-hoc projects.

Your professional profile includes:

  • University degree, preferably in Environmental sciences, engineering or sustainability
  • 3+ years of experience in Sustainability, Environment Health and Safety
  • Knowledge of corporate environmental sustainability (Science-Based targets, CDP Climate Change and Water Security, GHG Protocol, CEO Water Mandate)
  • Fluent in English
  • Research and analysis skills
  • Strong customer and service focus, solution oriented
  • Ability to travel (10%)
