The project intends to develop advanced methodologies to study the consequences of in place climate changes and the increase in the frequency and intensity of the connected extreme events, in order to contribute to territorial security and environment protection. It is expected to investigate both impacts with medium to long term effects and extreme events with rapid evolutionary dynamics, through the combined use of remote sensing technologies and in situ data. Activities will be focussed on observables and parameters related to regional and local scales Geo-hydrological hazards so as to better evaluate their evolution. Expected results relate to the developement of applications, products, and potentially, innovative services in support to the environment managers.
