At the University of Nebraska Foundation, we believe higher education transforms lives and communities. The foundation seeks an experienced fundraiser with international knowledge to advance the University of Nebraska through planning & implementing fundraising strategies leading to major gifts for the Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute.
Primary duties include strategic fundraising planning in coordination with institute leadership, identification, cultivation & solicitation of donor prospects, maintenance of records & appropriate stewardship with donors. This position will contribute to global network discussions, establish funding partnerships, lead sponsorship development for institute events and initiatives, and serve as a member of the institute leadership team. Includes direct interaction with donors, University faculty/staff, volunteers & Foundation staff.
Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study such as global studies, water, food, and agriculture; Master’s degree preferred. Also requires 5-7 years successful experience in development; international or issue based fundraising preferred, and excellent communication & organization skills, & ability to travel nationally.
