The Water, Markets and Grid Branch of DELWP’s Water Resource Strategy Division is seeking a Water Markets and Grid Program Support Officer (VPS3).

The primary focus of the role is to provide program support for key programs within the branch, including water markets and grid programs, as well as supporting coordination of the Traditional Owner access to water initiatives within the Water Resource Strategy Division.

This role is suited to a highly organised person with a strong service delivery focus, who is able to prioritise tasks and conflicting workloads, ensuring timelines are met without compromising quality standards, and who applies discretion particularly in relation to confidential and sensitive matters. The role requires strong interpersonal and time management skills.

The Water Markets and Grid team delivers high profile water policy reform, provides oversight of Victoria’s water grid and provides transparency for Victoria’s water markets. This is an opportunity to support these important functions which deliver value for all Victorians and contributes to the effective and sustainable management of Victoria’s waterways and water resources.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience providing executive assistance and administrative support services to senior management. Knowledge and experience with DELWP systems and procedures is highly desirable.  

This is a fixed term position available up until 30 June 2024.
