What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a motivated, experienced Wastewater and Renewable Energy Solution Implementor to contribute to work within NIWA’s Te Kuwaha team, that will co-develop and implement research on wastewater and diffuse pollution treatment technologies and renewable energy solutions with our Māori partners.
You will be required to develop research opportunities, prepare proposals, implement research and manage projects.
What you will bring:
- You will need a relevant tertiary qualification (BSc or BE, MSc or ME or PhD) and relevant experience in conducting environmental research.
- Experience with culturally appropriate wastewater treatment, environmental engineering, bioremediation, sustainability research, aquatic pollution resource recovery and renewable energy, social/humanities research and Mātauranga Māori.
- You must have demonstrated experience in working with Māori to meet their research priorities and aspirations.
- Knowledge and understanding of tikanga and Te Reo Māori is essential.
