Based in: Iraq (supporting programmes in Kirkuk, Dohuk, Salah-A-Din and new emergency response sites)
Start date: November 2016
Contract length: 3 months, with possible extension to 6 months subject to funding
Tearfund’s operational program is scaling up in expectation of the large displacements related to conflict in and around Mosul, which will have a large scale humanitarian impact. While funding is likely for the increased assistance that is planned, the amount and duration of this funding is not confirmed. Therefore, the recruitment advertisement is pending funding and contract length may be shorter or longer than initially advertised.
Are you an experienced WASH Advisor/Manager with proven leadership and project cycle management experience? An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our Middle East Programme for a WASH Advisor, working across all Tearfund project sites.
The successful candidate will have relevant humanitarian and leadership experience, coupled with experience in WASH project design and management, donor grant management, proposal writing, finance and strategic planning and emergency start up.
It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of operating in insecure environments.
Applicants must be committed to Tearfund’s Christian beliefs. We would expect applicants to be able to demonstrate a clear and specific desire to work in this country. All posts involve potential contact with children and the recruitment process will include specific checks related to child protection issues.

Residents will not be allowed to enter the Kurdistan Region, even if they have secured a visa from an Iraqi embassy or consulate.
