General Description
The Department of Civil Engineering at The City College of New York (CCNY) of The City University of New York (CUNY) is seeking a post-doctoral candidate with a strong background in water resource recovery process engineering and modeling. The successful candidate will investigate nitrous oxide emissions from municipal water resource recovery facilities and explore potential mitigation strategies. The position will focus on full plant modeling using commercial process simulators including aeration system modeling and biological nitrogen removal processes.
Other Duties
The candidate must have the ability to work independently and possess strong problem-solving skills and should have publications and conference presentations. A background in computer programming and/or statistics is also preferred.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. The candidate must have the ability to work independently and possess strong problem-solving skills and should have publications and conference presentations.
