Australia nationals: Senior Policy Officer
The Senior Policy Officer is responsible for developing policy and contributing to legislation frameworks to better manage high flows for the River Murray in South Australia. The role will work collaboratively across the Department and in consultation with the community and the Crown Solicitor's Office to enhance environmental outcomes and improve risk management for land and infrastructure. The incumbent will contribute to the development of policy and legislation frameworks to guide implementation of River Murray projects consistent with state and national policy and legislation for the Murray-Darling Basin.
Contract up to 30 June 2021
- May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to drive is essential.
- Some out of hours work may be required.
- Inter and intra state travel involcing overnight absences may be required.
