Australia nationals: Engagement Coordinator (Healthy Coorong Healthy Basin)
The Engagement Coordinator supports the development and implementation of the Healthy Coorong, Healthy Basin (HCHB) program, as part of the broader Project Coorong initiative, to help restore the ecological character of the Coorong South Lagoon and help improve management outcomes. Specifically, the role will coordinate the HCHB Engagement Strategy, Community Partnerships Project, and First Nations Partnerships Project, and support broader Project Coorong engagement outcomes.
The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the strategic management of HCHB communications channels to ensure that high quality content reaches the intended audience, meets audience needs and interests, and achieves HCHB communication and engagement objectives. The role is responsible for developing, and supporting other team members to develop and implement HCHB engagement plans, ensuring that content and tactics are developed based on knowing who the audience is and their information needs and preferences. The role is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and undertaking complex project work as required.
Contract until 31/12/2019
- May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
- Some out of hours work may be required, including weekends.
- A current class "C" driver's licence and willingness to drive is essential, and the ability to safely operate a 4WD is desireable.
- Some intra/interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.
