An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Campaign Leader take our campaign for reform of the extractive industries in Myanmar onto the next level.
About the role
You will use investigation and advocacy skills to stop oil, gas and mining industries in Myanmar contributing to grand corruption, conflict, human rights abuses and environmental degradation. You will support extractives sector reform in Myanmar, building particularly on our ground-breaking investigations into the jade sector, through outreach and communications with key decision makers.
We will also be looking to you to manage our formal civil society partnerships and ensure that meaningful change and impact is achieved and communicated.
You will bring enthusiasm and commitment to natural resource governance, human rights and environmental challenges in Myanmar, as well as a proven track record in leading advocacy campaigns with successful policy impact at an international and senior level.
You will need demonstrable experience of leading and managing highly skilled individuals and proven ability to influence and negotiate with a broad range on individuals.
Finally, we are particularly interested if you have great knowledge of governance and transparency issues particularly in relation to Myanmar.
