Job Description

The candidate for this position will support interdisciplinary projects to study the environmental impact of conventional hydropower and marine and hydrokinetic renewable energy systems by detecting and tracking fish or other animals in the river or ocean using underwater acoustic telemetry. The primary scope of this position includes Phase Shift Keying modulation for acoustic telemetry.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be currently enrolled/matriculated in a PhD program at an accredited college. Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate must be a PhD student in Electrical Engineering. Must have hands-on experience with Phase Shift Keying for underwater acoustic communications. Must have good written and oral communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively. Must be safety orientated. Must have demonstrated experience with Matlab, C and FPGA.

3.50 GPA or higher preferred.
