Water Sector Group Events Coordinator
Objective and Purpose of the Assignment
The WSG’s 2019 Workplan with respect to the key result area on knowledge management and sharing
indicates a number of international water events where ADB is playing a key role either as lead convenor
or co-convenor for specific sessions. These events are also used for organizing side events and
meetings with partners.
In addition, the Workplan also includes internal knowledge sharing sessions aimed at keeping the members
of the WSG in touch with each other and develop a culture of sharing information across water sector
divisions. The number of these sessions is expected to increase further as WSG embarks on the creation
of Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) for specific priority topics and areas of interest.
This assignment aims to support the Water Sector Group (WSG) in organizing internal and external water
events as part of its mandate to promote knowledge sharing within ADB and between ADB and external
clients and partners.
Scope of Work
The WSG event coordinator will provide support in facilitating the required coordination and logistic
arrangements to make these events happen and happen satisfactorily. The consultant will work very
closely with team members (ADB staff and consultants) supporting the Water Sector Group (WSG).
Detailed Tasks and/or Expected Output
Specifically, the event coordinator will carry out the following detailed tasks:
a. Maintain an updated list of internal and external events for 2019;
b. Coordinate with relevant departments/offices for logistic arrangements
c. Compile all presentation materials and other required documents
d. Provide regular updates to WSG Secretariat on status of preparations
e. Coordinate post event documentation requirements, including coordination with K-Learn for uploading
Minimum Qualification Requirements
The event coordinator should have demonstrable relevant experience working with the Asian Development
Bank or other multilateral development banks. Experience working for water sector would be an advantage.
