Calling all Canadians and permanent residents between the ages of 18 and 35! Waterlution has launched its Canada-wide search to find the next cohort of 100 young professionals to participate in our Atlantic Water Innovation Lab! Looking to expand your network and collaborate to tackle pressing coastal water challenges?

Apply for Waterlution’s Water Innovation Lab ATLANTIC 2022 – The first hybrid Water Innovation Lab in Canada (Northern Turtle Island) with both virtual and in-person programming.

This multi-phase capacity building, entrepreneurial and innovation training initiative will accept 100 young water professionals who together will increase Canada’s adaptability, resilience, and innovation leadership in the face of climate change.

The program combines leadership and skills training with on-the-land knowledge sharing from local knowledge holders knowledge holders and water-dependent industries (farming and fisheries) so as to stimulate and accelerate innovative climate change solution-making.

Three important themes will be focused on: 1) Rising sea levels and coastal erosion of island and coastal communities, 2) Flooding and water insecurity from changing weather events, 3) Species impacts (crops and aquatic life).

Phase 1: May 24 – June 14 — One weekly virtual session over 4 weeks

Phase 2: August 28 – September 2, 2022 — In beautiful Prince Edward Island

WIL Atlantic takes place within the traditional and ancestral lands of the Mi’kma’ki people, and Indigneous youth of all Nations are highly encouraged to apply.

What is WIL about?
WIL is a training and innovation program that is now in its 12th year, having been delivered across 15 countries.
Your network will expand, new connections will happen even before the first session, you will be up close to real challenges, seeking new approaches and solutions, you will interact with peers and experts, you will be mentored to assist develop your ideas and careers, you will be supported to keep doing the amazing, often challenging work you are pursuing.
