Would you like to be part of an innovative team leading a program to improve environmental water outcomes in the Gwydir valley?
NSW Government is seeking Commonwealth funding under the Northern Basin Toolkit to secure agreements with landholder, and implement works, to provide an environmental flow path to key areas of the Gwydir wetlands over the next two years.
The Environmental Water Programs team is a dynamic and multi-disciplinary group that is working on the pre-implementation phase of the Reconnecting Watercourse Country (RWC) Program within the Gwydir floodplain.
Our Environment and Heritage Group (EHG) team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer to work on a range of project activities including:
- plan, coordinate and implement strategies
- governance and partnerships
- develop co-design and negotiation frameworks
- stakeholder engagement
- providing expert advice and information to the team and external stakeholders.
You will demonstrate your project management experience by coordinating resources and maintaining project documentation. Contributing to the achievement of project objectives; you will implement and monitor project plans to assist in managing tight deadlines. Developing and maintaining sustainable stakeholder relationships, to contribute to project working groups, will be of high importance to you.
As Senior Project Officer you will be comfortable undertaking research and analysis and communicate trends and emerging issues that you have identified. Your ability to coordinate competing priorities and taking the initiative to maintain updated project knowledge will also contribute to your success as Senior Project Officer.
