Work you’ll do: As a Senior Consultant within our climate, energy, and resilience you will:

  • Work with international and domestic government and public sector clients to devise and apply smart solutions to critical climate and energy sector problems
  • Identify and directly support energy and electricity sector stakeholders while working with senior government clients and counterparts on macro-economic challenges and policy solutions
  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
  •  Improve electric utility customer service operations and develop innovative, market-driven solutions for the energy transition
  • Contribute to climate, electricity, sustainable mining, renewable energy and/or water infrastructure resiliency in such areas as decarbonization, policy development, regulatory reform, service provision, and improved access to capital
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
  • Assist in proposal development, as requested
  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients

The Team: The GPS Energy Sector Reform team is part of the broader Supply Chain and Network Operations Portfolio within Deloitte consulting. The Supply Chain and Network Operations team helps clients transform their value chains into competitive tools for advancing the market and public services. We drive efficiency, improve flexibility, and increase responsiveness through proactive insights and decision-making. We advise, implement, and operate transformational solutions that bring world-class supply network and operational capabilities to our clients. We provide operational know-how, digital technologies, advanced analytics, and industry-specific hybrid solutions to deliver unprecedented client value. Additionally, we improve operations, product, and material flow across the breadth of the value chain and create greater supply network synergy and value through M&A events. 

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 4+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Experience in energy economics, renewable energy development, finance and policy, energy sector reform, or climate change policy
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Security Clearance for this role
  • Travel up to 25% (While 25% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

Preferred:

  • Experience with domestic and/or international sustainable water management
  • Experience with data management systems used by governmental entities on water related topics
  • Experience with water data sets

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $108k-$144k.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
