The Division of Agriculture is a state wide campus, with faculty based on University campuses, at Research and Extension Centers and in every Arkansas County. It consists of the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station (AAES) and the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service (CES), and is home to more than 1400 employees. The Division was established in 1959 and is headed by the Vice-President for Agriculture. The Division headquarters is located in Little Rock with the rest of the University of Arkansas System Administration.

Summary of Job Duties
Responsible for developing mobile and internet of things firmware and hardware applications in support of the Irrigation Water Management Program. Writes or follows the irrigation program specification using structured code and printed circuit board design to develop new products for irrigation water management. Documents, develops and maintains current hardware and firmware. Works with Irrigation Engineer and team members to conduct research, design prototypes, program microcontrollers, PCB design, construct prototype boards, and test completed designs. Coordinates and works closely with Mobile App Developer. Maintains and trains team members. Performs other duties as assigned.
Training or experience in Electrical Engineering preferred.
