The Indiana Geological and Water Survey at Indiana University (IU) seeks an experienced (relevant course work and 3 years required) hydrogeologist to join our dynamic staff that conducts applied research for water and energy resources in Indiana and beyond. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an active, independent, externally-funded research program and supervise project-based employees. Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to: aquifer delineation and characterization in carbonate, clastic, alluvial, and glacial settings; surface water-groundwater interactions and geochemistry; aquifer response to climate change; and interactions between groundwater and subsurface energy reservoirs. The position is open at the Academic Rank (PhD required – job# 79664521) and Professional Rank (Masters required – job# 10577P) levels. The successful candidate is expected to take advantage of world-class experimental facilities and develop active collaborations at IU.
