Lake Champlain Sea Grant Program Assistant
The Watershed and Lake Education Program Assistant will assist the Watershed and Lake Education Coordinator with developing, delivering, and evaluating Lake Champlain Sea Grant Extension (LCSG) watershed and lake education programs directed to a variety of audiences, including Kindergarten to 12th grade (K-12) students and teachers throughout Vermont and the Lake Champlain Basin with UVM Extension Watershed Alliance. Additionally, this position will support 4-H20 TRY (a UVM Extension collaborative program) and the Watershed Educator undergraduate internship programs.
Bachelor’s degree in related field and one to three years’ related experience required. Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to work independently required. Experience assisting with educational programming required. Demonstrated ability and willingness to work with diverse constituencies required. Knowledge and familiarity in using various web-based tools and programs to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Ability to work independently and be innovative in solving problems required. Ability to provide own transportation to and from various work sites and locations required.
