Knowledge Management and Information Sharing Officer
The Knowledge Management and Information Sharing Officer, under the supervision of the Director of Programs, will play a critical role in planning and coordinating the implementation of the AMCOW Knowledge Management and Information Sharing strategy (2017), and in developing knowledge and information sharing platforms for effective and efficient sharing of knowledge and information to AMCOW’s diverse stakeholders.
Some key stakeholders include: the AMCOW Governing Council and Executive Committee (EXCO), the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), Regional Economic Commissions (RECs), Lake and River Basin Organisations, and other key implementing partners in the water and sanitation sector. In addition, the ongoing development of AMCOW’s knowledge hub is focused on strengthening two competencies: management and deployment of AMCOW’s own knowledge assets, and communications. The KMIS Officer will take the lead in generating, capturing, processing and sharing knowledge within AMCOW and among facilitate learning and knowledge exchange among AMCOW’s constituency—including member states—and its diverse stakeholders.
