Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Officer
The MEL Officer will lead the development and implementation of AMCOW’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) strategy, as well as the development a Result based management system and the building of its implementation capacity. His/her responsibilities will include progressively implementing and updating AMCOW’s MEL strategy, systematizing existing results frameworks for greater consistency and easier tracking, scaling up and refining AMCOW’s monitoring systems to generate rich analysis that will allow AMCOW to monitor progress in annual plans and AMCOW’s 2018-2030 strategy, inform a host of organizational reflection processes and position AMCOW to adjust course when needed.
The MEL officer will also support Project Managers in implementing program evaluations, support the Director of Programs in producing quarterly progress analysis that will be discussed in quarterly management meetings and coordinate an externally-led independent evaluation of AMCOW’s current strategy and its impact. The MEL Officer, under the guidance of the Senior Management Team, will coordinate all the teams in the development of the AMCOW Annual report and collaborate with the Manager of Communication and Visibility for the production of an AMCOW abridged annual corporate report for wider outreach. Depending on profile, the MEL officer may also collaborate with the WASSMO Manager.
