In support of Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance’s mission, the Winnebago Waterways Coordinator is responsible for advancing implementation of the Winnebago Waterways Lake Management Plan. This includes building partnerships and coordinating Winnebago Waterways (WW) recovery efforts. We are looking for a self-motivated, independent and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about the mission of FWWA.

Job Summary

  • Increase citizens’ knowledge and sense of ownership for the Winnebago Lakes as a community to garner more support for recovery efforts in the Winnebago Waterways Recovery Area.
  • Track lake plan implementation projects, lessons learned, and progress toward recovery targets.
  • Provide consistent communication with multiple regional partners and other stakeholders about priorities, projects, and progress toward meeting targets.
  • Increase adoption, installation, and maintenance of best management practices to improve habitat, reduce erosion, and reduce pollutant load that reaches the Winnebago Lakes.
  • Work to protect habitat abundance, quality, and diversity in the Winnebago Lakes through education, outreach, and projects.
  • Engage members of the public in water quality efforts to increase community knowledge of water quality issues.
  • Ensure continued data collection to allow for long-term trend analysis and ability to assess progress towards meeting lake plan targets.
  • Assist with grant management and seek additional funding from diverse sources for projects and programming.
