The Intergovernmental Policy team in Water and Catchments Group is seeking a Senior Policy Officer for a fixed term until 9 August 2022. The position sits within a dynamic team responsible for negotiating and delivering positive outcomes for Victorian communities and the environment through intergovernmental water reforms such as the Murray-Darling Basin Plan. The Senior Policy Officer will influence Victoria’s intergovernmental water policy through:
– Building strong stakeholder relationships and communicating effectively
– Developing policy and analysing options
– Driving project design and delivery
– Working flexibly and constructively in a changing environment
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A relevant qualification and/or experience in science, economics, policy or law is desirable, but not essential.
- A good knowledge and understanding of working in government is needed.
This is a fixed term position available up until 9 August 2022.
