This position is in Office of Water.
Duties:
– Develop, revise, and/or implement traditional and innovative concepts for identifying potential contaminants for regulation and for compiling and analyzing the best available information related to unregulated drinking water contaminants.
– Analyze and identify technical issues for drinking water regulatory programs, policies, and approaches and consequences of implementation environmental standards and strategies
– Develop options for the Agency’s consideration on regulatory determinations and national primary drinking water rule makings, and deliver the message through outreach materials, information workshops, speaking at conferences, and writing articles for publication. Lead the creation and development of outreach materials for States, Tribes, and local stakeholders, including national guidance for use in implementation of drinking water regulations and policies.
– Provide advice and counsel to development/implementation of a grant or contract, incorporating science expertise.
You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
