WATER PRACTICE

Michael Baker International’s Water Group provides innovative consulting, planning and engineering solutions for the entire spectrum of the water cycle. We have proven experience in providing a full range of professional services from scientific and technical analysis, concept through design, and construction support services. Protection and management of water resources starts at the watershed level and follows the movement of water through urban and agricultural areas, streams, lakes and reservoirs, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.

DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Business Management and Scope Clarification Team. The Business Management Team is responsible for the Business Management of the CERC Project including execution of tracking and reporting for the contract. The Scope Clarification Team sits on the Business Management Team and facilitates the formal project start-up and closeout processes associated with CERC regional projects. These communication, engagement and mitigation projects vary in size and complexity. The SC Analyst assists with developing project scopes and costs under the direction of the SC Team Lead and Project Management Director.

  • Implements the Scope Clarification process for each regional project
  • Develops project statement of work narratives with the assistance of the Regional CERC staff
  • Develops project budgets through the Scope Clarification template tool with the assistance of the Regional CERC staff in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Effectively and accurately communicates relevant project information to the project teams
  • Adheres to deadlines and makes sure client’s needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Keeps the SC Team Lead and Project Management Director (and others) informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations/deadlines
  • Sets up and participates in Regional project planning calls with Regional and National staff as necessary
  • Monitors record keeping and file maintenance in SharePoint
  • Updates and maintains the SC tracking log
  • Prepares & collects all required project closeout documents for each Regional project as assigned
  • Facilitates the Regional F4 update process on a monthly basis
  • Administrative duties
  • Participates and facilitates internal team meetings as necessary
  • Communicates ideas for process improvements
  • Assists in special projects as requested by the Project Management Director and/or SC team lead
