Communications and Administration Manager
West Cumbria Rivers Trust (WCRT) is a registered environmental charity dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and habitats of rivers, lakes and the surrounding countryside in West Cumbria. We are a young and successful Rivers Trust with a territory covering several river catchments, which include seven iconic lakes, spanning a substantial part of the Lake District National Park and West Cumbria. We have an impressive track record of successful delivery of conservation projects and are looking to employ a Communications and Administration Manager into our wonderful team.
As the WCRT Communications and Administration Manager, you will be responsible for organising, developing and supporting the delivery of all WCRT communications, marketing, and the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of our friendly and busy office. You will be expected to ensure that office equipment is maintained, relevant records are up to date and that all administration processes work effectively and in a timely manner. You’ll have responsibility for ensuring that the office runs efficiently so that the organisation can fulfil its aims by providing a communication, marketing and administration services for the Director and all WCRT staff. The post holder will also need a passion for environmental conservation and will be expected to help out on practical conservation tasks when required.
You will be part of a small (16 staff) but expanding team based in Keswick, reporting to the Trust Director and supported by WCRT’s Trustees and staff. One of our former Administration Assistants is now a Project Officer, so this role might a good step onto the conservation ladder for the right candidate!
