This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to deliver a catchment scale natural flood management project. You will make a significant contribution both to fulfilling the needs of this catchment and to informing the national approach to NFM.

Devon Wildlife Trust, on behalf of East Devon Catchment Partnership, has secured funding from the Environment Agency for the delivery of the Ottery St Mary Natural Flood Management Project. We are looking for a part-time project officer to successfully deliver a range of natural flood management interventions, which will secure a catchment more resilient to flooding with enhanced ecological networks.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience providing farm advice and have a good understanding of soils and hydrology. This is a rewarding, but challenging post and you will need excellent project management skills to manage the delivery of the project whilst developing close relationships with project partners.

This is a part-time (15 hours per week), fixed term appointment until March 2021, based at Cricklepit Mill, Exeter with substantial time in the project area.
