Tenure-Track Faculty (Environmental engineering, water resources and ground water hydrology)
The Department of Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), Daytona Beach, Florida invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor or associate professor to start Fall 2019.
Well qualified applicants in all areas of environmental engineering, water resources and ground water hydrology and geotechnical engineering with an emphasis on sustainability and resilience of systems are welcome to apply.
Preferential consideration will be given to those with expertise in areas such as aerosols, air pollution, and water reuse, groundwater hydrology, stormwater management, environmental remediation, water and wastewater treatment, and/or sustainable engineering.
Successful candidates will bring or develop a strong, externally-funded research program. Cross-disciplinary laboratory facilities for new faculty are available in ERAU’s MicaPlex research complex.
Applicants must hold an appropriate doctorate, have an outstanding research record, and be committed to teaching excellence, including use of evidence-based pedagogical approaches. Experience in aerospace, aviation, and related industries is valued. Candidates for appointment at associate rank must have a substantial research portfolio and a history of quality instruction. All candidates must meet U.S. right-to-work requirement and demonstrate excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.

The CIV department has 7 faculty members and 100 students. It offers the BS and MS in Civil Engineering. The College of Engineering at Embry-Riddle Daytona Beach has 100 faculty members plus research staff and enrolls nearly 2500 undergraduate and graduate engineering students. In addition to civil programs, the College offers bachelors and master’s degrees in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, computer, software and electrical engineering, and doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and mechanical engineering and ECCSE.
