Salary etc: APS6 at the MDBA (pro-rata 4 days per week) plus 9.5% superannuation
Are you, or do you know, someone with a passion for their community, environment or industry who could make a strong commitment to ongoing water management in the Murray-Darling Basin? Regional Engagement Officers are a critical link between communities and the Murray–Darling Basin Authority. In partnership with the Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment -Water Division we are recruiting a REO in South Western Queensland, to join our team of six other REOs. The successful Regional Engagement Officer will have: a passion for the local community and a knowledge of local networks; excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills; a strong understanding or a genuine interest in natural resource management; and a willingness to learn about and be supported by the Australian Government.
The ideal candidate will:
- have a passion for their local community
- have excellent skills in networking, stakeholder engagement, communication and collaboration
- have the ambition and passion to help achieve the sustainable management of the Murray–Darling Basin
- have a strong understanding, or a genuine willingness to learn about water and natural resource management
