University of Bucharest, Research Institute of the University of Bucharest – ICUB, ArchaeoSciences Division is hiring 1 PhD Researcher and 1 Master Researcher positions in Archaeology or Archaeosciences fields for a definite duration – from 01.07.2021 to 31.12.2023, under the Project “Mapping the Prehistoric Waterscape from Southern Romania (7000-3000 cal. BC). Eligibility criteria
- PC operating skills (word, excel, power point) and specialized programs in the field;
- Basic experience in working in interdisciplinary research team;
- Very Good Romanian language skills are desired;
- Foreign languages: English or French advance level (writing and speaking).

Skills/Qualifications
Description of tasks:
- Acquiring the knowledge required to fulfill project tasks;
- On-going training and honing in the field of the position topics;
- Taking part in the performance of the research activities stipulated in the contract (archaeology or archaeosciences);
- Attending the work meetings convened by the PI;
- Taking part in the processing and dissemination of the results obtained within the project (e.g., presentations, posters, articles, chapters, etc.).
Specific Requirements
Requirements:
- BA, Master, or equivalent in field of Archaeology, Anthropology, History, Biology, Geography or Geology for the PhD Researcher position;
- To be enrolled in a PhD program in the fields targeted by the project for the PhD Researcher position;
- BA or equivalent in field of Archaeology, Anthropology, History, Biology, Geography or Geology for the Master Researcher position;
- To be enrolled in a Master program in the fields targeted by the project for the Master Researcher position;
- Interest in one or more of the following: field archaeology, experimental archaeology, bioarchaeology, geoarchaeology, archaeometry, cultural anthropology or material culture studies;
- Strong interest in field, lab or experimental work;
