About the job
Contractor will provide project management and outreach services for the Middle Colorado Watershed Council (MCWC) on projects within the Middle Colorado River region (Glenwood Canyon to Debeque Canyon, Colorado). Contractor will report to the MCWC Board of Directors and work closely with the MCWC Executive Director. The scope of work that could be included in Contractor’s position includes:
• Oversee and manage selected projects including coordination with MCWC contractors, subcontractors, volunteers, and stakeholders. Work with Board of Directors and Executive Director to prioritize and implement projects. Additional projects may be added as Contractor availability allows.
• Assume responsibility for timely completion of project deliverables, noted with each project.
• Manage the project budget and implement cost controls.
• Conduct technical work on projects per individual expertise.
• Complete outreach tasks associated with the project.
• Complete grant related reporting.
• Manage grant proposals and funding requests for new proposed projects, including completion of submittals and coordination with funders and partners.
• Develop brief monthly written reports to MCWC Board to convey information related to project progress including key accomplishments, progress made on contract deliverables, status of budget and schedule, and any contract issues that require Board consultation.
• Build and foster relationships with community stakeholders.
• Attend conferences/workshops for the purpose of disseminating information and networking, as determined by the MCWC Board of Directors.
