The School of Graduate Studies serves about 1,400 and offers doctoral degree programs in Applied Physics, Food Science, Plant/Soil Science and Reading/Literacy.
We are recruiting a post-doctoral research associate to join our team investigating the interplay between hydrology, biogeochemistry, and microbial communities in shaping responses to stream intermittency across three geographic regions. Specifically, this post-doctoral researcher will be funded with a supplement grant to the “Aquatic Intermittency effects on Microbiomes in Streams (AIMS),” project
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and support research
- Data analysis
- Mentor and advice graduate and undergraduate students
- Support undergraduate research opportunities
- Participate in course, curriculum, and program development
- Workshop development
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
- Ph.D. in ecology, hydrology, limnology, biology, fisheries, or a related discipline
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in mentoring students
- Interest in active and collaborative learning
- Project management skills
- Experience with sensors and sensor networks
The salary for each position is based on the grade/tier in which the position is placed, and the salary within the grade/tier is based on the number of years of related experience or number of years in the hiring rank.
