Our Water Group team is currently seeking to appoint the below roles. Each position provides the opportunity to contribute to the development of policy and delivery of programs within the Water Group.

Under the NSW Water Strategy, Water Group will be delivering a new state-wide Water Efficiency Framework and Program. This will involve collaboration between all levels of Government, water utilities, the private sector and the wider community; focus on building water efficiency capacity, gaining a greater understanding of water use, and improving the evaluation of water efficiency initiatives. The work will also consider the effectiveness of the Building Sustainability Index (BASIX) in driving and sustaining water efficiency.

Senior Project Officer Water Efficiency Programs

In this role, you will facilitate the delivery of water efficiency programs throughout NSW, as well as work collaboratively with a team and other stakeholders to ensure program consistency and delivery on intended outcomes. To be successful in this position, you will have demonstrated experience with procurement, project or program design and delivery skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others, and be innovative and results focussed.

Senior Policy Officer

In this role, you will manage the development, implementation and evaluation of water policy and regulation to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory objectives. You will also provide evidence-based advice on policy and regulation, as well as research and deliver projects. To be successful in this position, you will have demonstrated experience providing policy advice, with a broad understanding of water policy issues, along with strong collaboration and communication skills, as you will be working with other stakeholders and internal experts to develop policy and address emerging water issues.
