  • Opportunities available for experienced water planners to join a highly regarded team and be a key contributor in delivering water planning processes  
  • 2 x temporary full-time opportunities (30 June 2022), location negotiable across NSW 
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $113,343 – $124,901 + super 

Our Water Group team is currently seeking to appoint 2 x Senior Water Planners, (one role to join the Inland Water Planning Team and one role to join the Flood Plain Planning Team) to coordinate analytical and research activities to provide successful input to NSW Governments water management planning process. In this role, you will establish strong information networks, as well as facilitate the understanding of water management matters, policies and plans. 

About You 

You will have proven experience balancing priorities with conflicting deadlines, as well as a solid understanding of water reform and planning issues, keeping up to date with trends and developments to enable an effective input into the policy process. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and experienced water planner to join a highly regarded team and be a key contributor in delivering water planning processes for NSW. We also offer career development and advancement opportunities. 

Essential Requirements 

  • Extensive experience in water related areas such as water planning, natural resource management, environmental science, aquatic ecology, geomorphology, civil/environmental engineering and hydrology. 
  • Understanding of the State and Commonwealth Government’s water reform agendas, and legislative and policy requirements regarding water planning.
