Objective and Purpose of the Assignment

The TA supports the operations department of ADB to implement the transformative goals of ADB Strategy
2030 by making Water Financing Partnership Facility (WFPF) resources readily accessible to (i) prepare
and implement innovative projects; (ii) pilot new approaches while bringing them to scale, and (iii)
help generate and manage knowledge that will result in designing, and implementing better investment
projects. In particular, the TA focuses on mainstreaming citywide inclusive sanitation (CWIS) in ADB
operations. CWIS is aligned with Strategy 2030 in supporting the following operational priorities: (i)
addressing remaining poverty and reducing inequalities, (ii) accelerating progress in gender equality,
(iii) making cities more livable, and (iv) promoting rural development and food security, (v)
strengthening governance and institutional capacity. A dedicated and experienced Water Sector Group
(WSG) secretariat at the Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department will support the
operations departments in implementing the projects and activities supported by the TA.

This assignment aims to support the TA and Water Sector Group (WSG) in organizing internal and external
water events as part of its mandate to promote knowledge sharing within ADB and between ADB and external
clients and partners, including donors. He/She is also expected to support administrative arrangements
for events hosted by/participated in by WSG.

Scope of Work

    The consultant will provide support in facilitating the required coordination and logistic 

arrangements. He/She will work very closely with team members (ADB staff and consultants) to support WSG
in implementing its activities.

Detailed Tasks and/or Expected Output

Specifically, the coordinator will carry out the following detailed tasks:

a. Support WSG in the organization of events and maintain an updated database of internal and external
participants for all events;
b. Facilitate event-related logistics and administrative support such as: (i) coordination with
concerned divisions in OAS regarding logistics and administrative support for all WSG events, including
but not limited to physical lay-out, placement of banners, uploading of presentations, and audio-visual
documentation; and (ii) provision of support for Water Specialists on event-related and knowledge
dissemination related concerns;
c. Compile and maintain digital copies of post-event documentation, all event-related presentation
materials and documents in coordination with the national officer and communications team;
d. Support WSG in carrying out peer review meetings with ADB’s operations departments;
e. Support logistical preparations of meetings related to the Water Financing Partnership Facility;
f. Assist staff in preparing correspondence, coordinating meeting schedules, and preparing meeting
documentation or minutes;
g. Coordinate administrative and logistics concerns of water specialists’ consultants such as access to
selected and approved/allowed ADB systems, equipment and services for consultants;
h. Update SDSC-WAT inputs to online databases as necessary, including SDCC Dashboard, events tracking
system, and other relevant documents;
i. Collect, compile and analyze relevant information and data related to the team to produce routine
and/or ad hoc statistics/reports as instructed; and
j. Perform other duties as required by the Chief of Water Sector Group and international staff
specialists within the team.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

The Coordinator should have at least 5 years of working experience preferably demonstrable relevant
experience working with the Asian Development Bank or other multilateral development banks. Experience
working for water sector would be an advantage.
