The Rivers Trust is leading a step-change in citizen science and community monitoring of our rivers and catchments, by developing a multi-stakeholder national Catchment Monitoring Cooperative (CMC) [https://monitoring.catchmentbasedapproach.org/].
The CMC framework will generate standardised and quality-assured catchment evidence, which is required to adaptively manage our water environment to become more resilient into the future, fulfilling one of the key aims of The Rivers Trust, which is to create ‘thriving rivers and communities’.
Are you a project manager with experience in transformational projects, excellent organisational and relationship management skills, who wants to take on this ambitious and exciting new challenge?
You will play a lead role in building and demonstrating the CMC framework as part of the Ofwat-funded Catchment Systems Thinking Cooperative (CaSTCo) project. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day governance, management, delivery and tracking of this transformational project, ensuring that all agreed deliverables are met according to time/cost/quality.
You will be involved in the executive and technical decision-making process, by working closely with the project sponsor and technical leads to support The Rivers Trust and partner organisations to develop a detailed plan for the CaSTCo project, defining key priorities within the plan to achieve required goals. You will also be responsible for reporting on project progress, benefits, risks and actions.
You will have a strong project management background, with a proven track in transformational and improvement projects, as well as relationship and organisational management, able to bring multiple stakeholders together under a shared vision
To apply, you must complete an Application Form, an Equal Opportunities Monitoring form (available to download on the RT Careers page or below) and send, with a covering letter showing how you meet the required experience, to [email protected]
Please note that CVs without Application Forms will not be accepted.
