Our Water Infrastructure NSW team is currently seeking to appoint a Principal Water Planning Advisor (Infrastructure) to provide knowledge and support to facilitate the delivery of the water infrastructure program, consistent with State and Federal water management legislation and obligations. In this role, you will also lead and undertake research, and provide leadership and mentoring to staff, as well as expert advice to inform recommendations.

About You

You will have knowledge and understanding of water infrastructure and planning issues, including trends and developments, as well as experience developing related policies and programs. Working with a range of stakeholders and a wider team to deliver advice, you will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, utilising this to provide consistent and informed expert advice to relevant individuals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong knowledge of water planning to join a dedicated team and assist the department in meeting both federal and state water management commitments. We also offer career development and advancement opportunities.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, natural resources, planning or other relevant field and/or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Current valid NSW Driver Licence
