Internship (River Plastic Data)

The Ocean Cleanup

Rotterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱

MISSION TO METRICS

The mission of The Ocean Cleanup is to develop and scale technologies to rid the oceans of plastic. To do so, we develop and deploy cleanup systems to stop plastic from reaching our oceans by intercepting it in rivers.

“The Data & Monitoring Team supports the development and measures the performance of plastic interception technologies by researching the spatial and temporal behavior of plastic in rivers and providing all relevant data on rivers where deployments are planned. We develop and deploy sensors, apps, and dashboards to provide actionable information to other teams in the organization. We collaborate with universities across the globe to obtain accurate data and gain knowledge on plastic emitting rivers. We are looking for an energetic, curious intern with organizational and structuring skills, and a hands-on mentality” – Renata Correia, River Survey Engineer
