You will join our Climate Adaptation and Green Infrastructure department
As our new Head of department for hydraulic modelling for sewage systems and climate adaptation you will be part of a department with highly skilled, social and ambitious employees in our global water division where you will work with public and private clients, projects and colleagues in Denmark as well as internationally. You will be part of our water management team in Denmark as well as our Global Division for Water Infrastructure and Climate Adaptation and you will be responsible for the ongoing business and business development as well as people management in the department.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Being an inspiring, motivating and emphatic leader for the 16 employees and support the creative, ambitious and social environment in the department
- Lead the development of the competences and services in the department for high level and complex hydraulic modelling, planning and design of nature-based and high-tech climate adaptation solutions
- Grow client relations as trusted, performing and inspiring consultant through client engagement, tendering and good project deliveries.
- Grow the department in Denmark and internationally through business development, solid project performance, financial performance, retention and recruitment of employees as well as close collaboration with colleagues across the Ramboll organization.
- On going support and guidance of project managers and technical experts for project deliveries
Your starting point for constant growth

- Minimum Masters degree in engineering or similar with several years of working experience within climate adaptation in the water sector
- Planning background in stormwater management, flood management and experience within hydraulic modelling of stormwater, rivers and/or coastal systems
- Knowledgeable within flooding from extreme rain events, rivers and storm surges amplified by climate change
- Planning and design of nature-based and high-tech solutions for climate adaptation projects in urban and rural areas
- Interest in Climate Risk, Cost-Benefit Analysis and Climate Justice
- A high motivation and interest for further development of holistic climate adaptation and integrated water management services to minimize flooding risks and create sustainable solutions
- A natural leader able to motivate multidisciplinary teams and with minimum of few years of experience as a Team Lead, Head of Department or similar
- Experience with or a natural interest for business and business development including ambitions for solid technical as well as financial performance
- Experience from and network in the water sector in Denmark and/or internationally, preferably as a consultant
- Profound proposal writer, enjoying to understand the client’s needs and write winning proposals
- Experience within tendering and project management
