The Department Enviromental Engineering is looking for support of the research topic within the platform project CityTech to ensure the necessary water quality for new water-using and water-storing “blue-green” infrastructures to be developed in urban areas and offers a position of a:
Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/x)
Working hours: 100% (39 h/week), limited to 12 month (optional extendable), starting 1st January 2022
Your tasks:
This postdoc position will have a focus on combinations of the following:
- Technologies for water quality assurance in blue-green urban infrastructures
- Application of new adsorption technologies
- Acquisition of third-party funding for own career development
- Networking on the subject of blue-green infrastructures in urban areas
Your profile:
- PhD degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or alike
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Very good knowledge in PMOCs analytics and design of adsorption material
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, knowledge of German language desirable
- Ability to travel and do field work (including a driving license valid in Europe)
- Team player, high motivation for interdisciplinary and international scientific cooperation
- Ability to prepare high-impact manuscripts for international journals independently
