Groundwater expert for infrastructure projects

We invite you to bring your groundwater expertise into play in a wide variety of projects related to groundwater lowering for building, road and other infrastructure projects.

Our projects cover a broad range from evaluating the groundwater impact relating to EIA of both small and large scale projects, to planning and interpreting pumping tests, estimating water volumes for groundwater lowering, permanent ground water lowering for flood protection and mining dewatering, and design of temporary groundwater lowering and recharge systems for construction.

Besides this, we provide technical input to projects in the fields of groundwater supply development, resource assessment, establishing wells, pumping tests and ground water modelling. Likewise, managed aquifer recharge and aquifer thermal energy storage such as ATES/PTES and associated heat transport modelling using FeFlow is in our portfolio.

To succeed in this role, you must have an education as an engineer or a hydrogeologist and several years of professional experience with hydrogeological projects both from a theoretical and practical perspective. You will join our Water and Natural Resource department

As our new groundwater expert, you will be part of a dedicated hydrological team with 5-6 danish and international members in Aarhus, who works closely with 10-15 experienced hydrologists in Copenhagen. This provides excellent possibilities for developing your competences in a professionally strong environment with good support in a relaxed environment.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Dewatering and reinfiltration
  • Water supply, groundwater resources management
  • Geo-energy and heat modelling
  • Aquifer testing (design, performance and analysis)
  • Groundwater modelling

  • Engineer or hydrogeologist
  • Several years of experience from infrastructure projects
