  • Temporary opportunity until end of April 2022, located in Regional NSW
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $99,431 – $110,064 + super

The Regional Water Strategies division within the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) is currently seeking to appoint a Groundwater Strategist to undertake research and gather data on sustainable groundwater management to ensure the delivery of the NSW Government’s regional water strategies. You will also liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, working collaboratively across the DPIE cluster.

About You

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong relationship building skills and previous experience in water management to join a dedicated team and deliver resilient water resources for towns, communities and environments across regional NSW.  We also offer career development and advancement opportunities.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in water related areas such as water planning, natural resource management, environmental science, civil/environmental engineering and hydrogeology.
  • Familiarity with the State and Commonwealth Government’s water reform agendas.
