The Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office ENTRO has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Nile Cooperation for Climate Resilience Projects (NCCR) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for individual consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) is to facilitate for smooth running of the program and make sure that the program delivered the intended objectives and empowering young people from the Eastern Nile Basin countries to support the emergence of a shared understanding about the resource base – its potentials, the risks it is facing and its future. The individual consultant has to support the program in enhancing knowledge product development; provide capacity building to the interns on the tools and models at ENTRO; facilitate capacity building training and consultation workshops and engage young people in transboundary dialogue and trust building among relevant Nile basin stakeholders to enhance cooperation to mitigate risks and harness opportunities. Prepare time plan for the interns and follow up with them during their internship (regular reports and meetings). Prepare a communication material for the knowledge products prepared by the program and facilitate the dissemination to support integration of outputs onto online platforms and also Work with ENTRO, countries and WB to facilitate other capacity building trainings for the interns enrolled and previous interns, organize events, conferences, webinars, social media groups to make sure all the previous interns stay connected.
The position will be the ENTRO’s headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The duration of services initially 12 months to be renewed for additional 36 months based on satisfactory performance.
The Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office (ENTRO) now invites eligible Individual Consults (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Individual Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The short-listing criteria are: information indicating their professional capability and experience to perform the services ;( qualification, description of similar assignments, relevant work experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills and Language proficiency). The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November 2020, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the [Individual Consultant Selection method, Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, November 2020.
